Audi A6 and A7 have appeared on the markets 6 years ago, but the company still isn't ready for something new, in order to keep up with competition the models will get refreshed. The cars will have some new equipment and their mid-range lineup will be subtle refreshed.
The renewed models will have a new front-end style, side sills, rear bumpers, and rear diffusers that are going to look sharper than those from the old versions. The interior features will also include LED ambient lighting, with new trim options to join the expanded range of exterior colors and wheel choices. There will be tablets mounted to the seat backs so that rear-seat-passengers could watch for example their favorite show.
That is the way Audi hopes to attract the customers to their showrooms who might otherwise keep their eyes on the new models of their competitors Mercedes E-Class, Jaguar XF, Maserati Ghibli.
Mercedes E-Class will sit above the standard car in terms of luxury, but without the massive price tag and increased bulk of an S-Class. The long-wheelbase model adds 140mm of extra length over the standard E-Class, most of which has gone straight to the rear compartment where passengers are able to enjoy an extra 134mm of legroom.
The 2016 Maserati Ghibli is available in three models: a 345-horsepower rear-wheel-drive base version, a 404-hp rear-wheel-drive Ghibli S, and a top-end Ghibli S Q4 with 404 horsepower on a V6 twin-turbo engine and intelligent all-wheel drive.
