Most people like cars and everything related to them. There are those who prefer buying expensive cars and the more they buy, the better they feel. There is also a type of people who collect special cars. If you are a connoisseur of art, now you have a unique opportunity to buy a piece of history. The very first and legendary Shelby Cobra CSX2000 is going up for auction in Monterey.
The legend was built in 1962 by Carroll Shelby in a garage in Santa Fe Springs, California. That was the time, when he could not imagine, that his first hand-built vehicle could become a masterpiece. This early model differs a lot from its later examples and modern replicars. There is a 260-cubic-inch, 260-horsepower V8-engine under the hood. The car reaches 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds.
There is an interesting fact, that the Carroll Shelby's first car spent its entire life under his ownership. Probably, this is the main reason why it is completely unrestored and still looks almost like new. The original Shelby Cobra is going up for sale at RM Sotheby's Monterey Auction on August 19th. Most likely we'll spot some intense bidding at this auction.
